For years I've helped people go from "I can't stand this" to "oh, this could really help me!" That small moment of relief, when something truly clicks, is one of my favorite things in the world.
My professional life started at a grocery store, bagging groceries and fielding the occasional urgent question about fish sticks. What I loved most was getting to be a small part of people's lives.
I watched families grow and kids grow up. I saw regulars go through injuries to recoveries, through good days and bad. I may have "just" been selling produce, but in a small way, I was part of how their lives moved forward, and that stuck with me.
In college, I landed serendipitously at the campus tech help desk. My boss used to say, "I can teach you the technical stuff, but I can't teach you patience." I enjoyed figuring out what had gone wrong, but I loved when I could help someone understand why it happened, so the next time it wasn't scary. Helping people go from "I hate this platform" to "huh, this could actually help me" is still my favorite kind of win.
Budgeting has always been a foundation of mine, too. As a kid, I'd ask about how mortgages work over Saturday-morning cereal, and I watched as my mom turned my dad's single income into family trips, college tuition, and a solid retirement. She showed me that a budget can be empowering rather than punishing. That awareness helped me buy my first home in my mid-twenties.
When I packed up that home for a career move, I faced an endless mountain of "stuff," and I found that I truly enjoyed sifting through it all, keeping what mattered and let the rest go be useful to someone else.
I would love nothing more than to work with you to figure out what works for you in any or all of these areas.
One of my guiding beliefs: you don't think the way I do, and that's marvelous. It means we get to work together to figure out what you need, and how to get you there, in ways that work for you.
When I'm not doing any of this work, you'll usually find me on a Lindy Hop dance floor, deep in a boardgame of Wingspan or Azul, knitting (and occasionally spinning my own yarn), or out at the build site of the tiny home I'm building myself. I love learning new things: languages, plumbing, farming, weaving, and more, especially if you're excited to tell me about it!
Nearly 20 years in IT support and software implementation, including directing an IT Support & Outreach team, plus PMP and ITIL 4 certifications and KCS Foundations training.
No two people are the same,
so no two sessions are, either.
I genuinely love learning how people think: what's frustrating you, what you're worried about, and what "better" would actually feel like for you.
No rigid program. We work at your pace, in plain language, on the thing that's actually weighing on you, one knot at a time.
The goal isn't to need me forever. It's for you to breathe easier, and to feel ready the next time something like this comes your way.
I'm an AI-informed practitioner, which means I'll be honest with you: these tools can be powerful and helpful, they come with real environmental and social costs, they have meaningful limitations, and there are plenty of times when a simpler, human approach is the better call.
If you're curious about AI, we can explore it together. If you'd rather not touch it, that's completely fine. There's always a non-AI way to get where you're going, and you stay in the driver's seat.
Does it sound like I could be a good fit?
Let me know what you'd be interested in working on! No pressure, no sales pitch, just a friendly first conversation.
